What you can claim (L0–L3)

KnoSky grows in layers. Only promise what your own install can show with npx knosky@latest doctor — a simple health check on your machine.

L0 — Local map

KnoSky builds a map of your project on your computer and helps assistants find the right files. Nothing is uploaded to KnoSky by default.

L1 — Safer sharing

If you choose to share a map package with someone else, treat it carefully: secret-looking text should be blocked, and a person should review what leaves your machine.

L2 — Checked answers (Mode B)

When you want firmer control, assistants identify themselves and get a clear yes or no with a record when allowed. Otherwise the request is refused safely.

L3 — Several AI helpers together

L3 is for when more than one AI helper works in the same project (sometimes called a “swarm”). KnoSky includes an early helper layer so those workers collide less — for example light turn-taking and a simple status board.

It is not a finished “always-safe multi-AI factory on every laptop” product. Use basic map + routing freely; treat multi-helper coordination as early. Run doctor on your install before stronger promises.

Rule of thumb: public claims stay at or below what doctor shows for that install. Some advanced Windows lockdown features may still show a warning when they are not active yet.
